Global security Insurance company limited was established in 1996 by a group of Gambians in partnership with an American investor, as a  non-Life (General) direct writing company with an initial paid up Capital of D600,000.00. Today, it is capitalized to the tune of well over D10 million. The shareholders have fully subscribed to increase the paid-up Capital to D15 million by end of March, 2007 as required under the Insurance Regulations, 2005.
